Experience the charm and ambience of heritage accommodation at its finest at The Racecourse Inn in Longford, Tasmania. A former Georgian coaching Inn, The Racecourse Inn has a National Trust classification and is on the register of the National Estate. Built of convict bricks in 1860, this charming building has been sympathetically restored to provide stylish and comfortable accommodation.

Set in established, heritage, English style cottage gardens, this beautiful country house has five generously sized bedrooms, all furnished with antiques, and en-suite facilities that have been discreetly introduced without detracting at all from the historic atmosphere of the building. Guests are welcome to relax and read by the fire in the unique vaulted dining room, and enjoy a drink from the bar.

Your bed and breakfast package includes a full cooked and continental Tasmanian breakfast, with eggs from our resident chooks, and produce from the orchard.

We offer a discounted “whole house” rate for stays of three nights or more, if all five rooms are booked.
